Many of you probably clicked this link first. I understand. My feeling on setting rates is that I want you to value our time as much as I value mine. I teach mostly because I love to do it, but I have found that offering bargain-basement rates attracts students who aren’t serious about learning.
At the same time, I understand that learning Korean takes a long time, so here are some ideas for lowering the cost:
· Arrange for group lessons with some friends and split the cost
· Study independently using the Integrated Korean series, and meet with me once a week to go over homework, ask questions, and work on pronunciation and conversation.
· Talk to me about services-in-kind or other bartering arrangements. I love to teach, and I am flexible.
Contact me via e-mail and let’s talk about what you want to do! And if you can demonstrate genuine hardship, I'd consider working pro bono.
