Thank you for your interest in Twin Cities Korean!  My name is Ki-sook and I was born in Seoul.  I moved to the U.S. in 2002 with my husband and have been teaching Korean and English off and on since 2003. I moved to St. Paul, MN in 2007.

I am a Korean native speaker, but while in the United States I completed my GED and started college with the goal of becoming a teacher.

My passion is teaching children, particularly Korean-born children who need to learn English, but whose current English skills prevent them from working with a native speaker.

I have also taught English-speaking Korean adoptees who want to connect with their ancestral culture, second generation Korean children, and older immigrants who need help with essential English language skills.  I can take you or your student through a standard textbook series, or develop a lesson plan for your unique needs.  Click the links to the left to find out more.

As a Korean native, I am proud of my heritage and our unique language, and I love to share it with others.
